Shift: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift
Compensation: $27 – $30 per hour
We’re looking for a skilled General Maintenance Technician who takes pride in their craft and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. In this role, you’ll ensure our commercial and industrial facilities run efficiently and safely — tackling challenges head-on, solving problems, and keeping everything in top condition.
If you’re a proactive problem-solver with strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing know-how — and you take ownership of your work — we want to hear from you.
Prioritize Safety: Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations, including lock-out/tag-out procedures.
Stay Ahead of Issues: Perform regular system and equipment checks (“shift rounds”) to catch and correct issues early.
Keep Equipment Running: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility systems — HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and more.
Handle Preventative Maintenance: Inspect, service, and replace components like belts, hoses, filters, and fluids to keep systems operating at peak performance.
Tackle Diverse Repairs: From rebuilding pumps and valves to fixing leaks, lights, and dock equipment — no two days are the same.
Own the Details: Order parts, manage vendors, document work in the CMMS, and recommend PM program improvements.
Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with team members and customers to ensure work is clearly understood, completed efficiently, and meets quality standards.
Lead by Example: Occasionally manage maintenance projects or direct subcontractors on specialized facility repairs.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical training preferred.
Experience: 4+ years of experience in maintenance, with skills spanning mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
Certifications: Valid driver’s license, forklift certification, and aerial lift/JLG license.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in hand and power tools.
Ability to disassemble and repair HVAC systems, motors, pumps, and other equipment.
Strong understanding of building systems, including Life Safety Systems and Building Automation.
Comfortable using maintenance software, Microsoft Word, and email communication tools.
Problem-Solving Ability: Skilled at diagnosing complex issues, managing changing priorities, and finding efficient, high-quality solutions.
Flexibility: Willing to work occasional weekends or non-standard hours as needed.
Competitive pay and steady weekday schedule.
Work with a skilled, supportive team in a professional environment.
Opportunities to expand your technical skills and cross-train across multiple systems.
A company culture that values safety, craftsmanship, and ownership.
