Weekend Family Assistant (Live-Out) ASAP

Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays | Typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible based on family needs) Location: Larchmont, NY Compensation: $35–$40/hour (DOE) Position Type: Live-Out | occasional overnights & support during domestic and international travel if needed)

A warm, hands-on family with a toddler and infant is seeking a proactive, intuitive Family Assistant for weekend support. Both parents are actively involved and value someone who can read the room and step in where needed.

The home includes 2 adults, 2 children, a friendly 30 lb dog, and additional staff support, all within a well-run 4-bedroom household.

They are looking for a thoughtful, socially aware candidate who respects family dynamics, balances childcare with household support, and is interested in a long-term role in a kind, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage children in creative, child-led play (arts, crafts, storytelling, imaginative play)
• Assist with toddler meals and occasional bottle feeding for the infant
• Maintain organization of playroom, closets, pantry, and children’s spaces
• Perform light housekeeping (tidying kitchen, children’s laundry, general upkeep)
• Run family errands and assist with household tasks
• Drive children as needed (must use own car)
• Provide occasional support during domestic and international travel

Ideal Candidate

• Warm, calm, and socially intuitive with a low-profile, respectful presence
• Experienced with infants and toddlers
• Creative and engaging, especially with imaginative play
• Able to work in partnership with parents and adjust fluidly throughout the day
• Proactive—can identify when to assist with household tasks vs. childcare
• Minimal phone use; does not rely on screens for childcare
• Comfortable in a home where family members are sensitive to fragrance (no strong scents)

Requirements

• CPR & First Aid Certified
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license & reliable personal vehicle
• Open to occasional overnights (pre-arranged)
• Travel availability (international travel in August is a plus)

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate: $35–$40/hour DOE
• Year-end and discretionary bonuses
