Private Family in Bethesda, Maryland Seeking a Housekeeper

Position: Full-Time Live-Out Housekeeper
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9AM - 5 PM or 8AM - 4PM
Salary: $40/hr

About the Family

A warm and welcoming private family located in Bethesda, MD. is looking to hire a dedicated and professional Housekeeper to join their household. They value discretion, reliability, and someone who will be a long-term fit.

Children: Teenagers

Home Size: 10,000 sq. ft. primary residence, plus two 2,500 sq. ft. guest houses

Pets: One friendly dog

Household Staff: Executive Housekeeper and a live-in Domestic Couple currently employed, who also help with housekeeping. 

This is a wonderful long-term opportunity. The family's current Housekeeper has been with them for over 10 years and is preparing for retirement. The family is seeking a professional who will become a valued and lasting member of their household team.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed housekeeping throughout the main residence and guest houses
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of all living spaces
• Laundry, ironing, steaming, and wardrobe care
• Change bed linens and maintain guest accommodations
• Care for fine furnishings, surfaces, and household items
• Assist with deep cleaning projects and seasonal household maintenance
• Monitor household supplies and communicate inventory needs
• Work collaboratively with the Executive Housekeeper and Domestic Couple
• Ensure the home remains guest-ready and maintained to the highest standards
• Assist with occasional pet-related tasks as needed

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Housekeeper in a private household
• Experience working in a large, fully staffed residence is preferred
• Excellent references
• Legal to work in the United States
• Driver's license and clean driving record preferred
• Comfortable working around children and pets
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
• Seeking a long-term commitment with one family
