Legal Billing Operations Manager (Amlaw200)

140,000 - 175,000

A leading professional services organization is seeking an experienced Billing Operations Manager to oversee billing activities and lead a team of billing professionals. This position will partner with business leaders and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient, accurate, and client-focused billing operations while identifying opportunities to improve processes and team performance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily billing operations and oversee a team of billing professionals.
• Partner with leadership and internal stakeholders to address billing needs and resolve complex issues.
• Establish efficient billing procedures, controls, and service standards.
• Monitor billing activity, deadlines, reporting, and overall team performance.
• Support complex client billing requirements, electronic billing, and billing adjustments.
• Identify process gaps and implement improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and service quality.
• Develop team members through coaching, training, cross-training, and performance management.
• Maintain strong working knowledge of billing systems and related technology.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in professional services or legal billing/revenue operations.
• 3+ years of experience managing billing professionals.
• Strong knowledge of billing, collections, electronic invoicing, and revenue-cycle processes.
• Experience with Elite 3E or similar financial/billing systems preferred.
