Manager, Logistics & Warehousing
Location: Northern Colorado, Hybrid
Work Schedule: Hybrid, 2 to 3 days per week in office
Travel: Some travel required
Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 annual salary with opportunity to earn up to a 20% annual bonus
Our client is a growing, mission-driven food company focused on high-quality, clean-label products and responsible sourcing. The company operates in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is building the systems, processes, and partner network needed to support continued growth.
We are seeking a hands-on Manager, Logistics & Warehousing to manage warehousing and transportation execution across our temperature controlled logistics network. This role partners with internal teams and external logistics providers to ensure customer orders ship accurately, on time, in full, and at the right cost. The successful candidate will help strengthen the network through improved processes, better partner communication, practical tools, and disciplined execution.
· Manage daily logistics execution across warehousing, transportation, and order fulfillment.
· Partner cross-functionally to meet customer requirements, resolve service issues, and improve execution.
· Track critical orders, required arrival dates, appointment timing, and service risks; escalate and resolve late, short, delayed, damaged, or at-risk orders.
3PL, Warehouse & Transportation Management
· Manage day-to-day relationships with 3PL warehouse and transportation providers, holding partners accountable to service, cost, communication, inventory, food safety, and compliance expectations.
· Monitor warehouse performance, including order processing, picking accuracy, inventory control, appointment readiness, and shipment execution.
· Manage temperature controlled execution, including carrier coordination, load tracking, appointment management, and issue escalation.
Cost, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
· Track and report key metrics, including OTIF, on-time shipment/delivery, order fill, 3PL performance, freight spend, claims, damages, and inventory accuracy.
· Review logistics invoices, monitor spending versus budget, identify cost drivers, and build practical scorecards and action trackers.
· Improve SOPs, communication routines, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for recurring service, cost, inventory, and execution issues.
Food Safety, Compliance & Projects
· Support compliance with USDA, FDA, FSMA, OSHA, DOT, cold-chain, traceability, lot control, product hold/release, and recall requirements.
· Support logistics projects related to new products, customer launches, warehouse transitions, inventory flow, quality holds, and network improvements.
· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, operations, or a related field preferred.
· 3 to 5 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, transportation, distribution, customer service operations, or supply chain execution.
· Experience working with 3PL warehouses and external transportation providers required; food, beverage, CPG, refrigerated/frozen, or high-volume distribution experience preferred.
· Working knowledge of ERP, WMS, TMS, customer portals, or 3PL reporting tools preferred; NetSuite experience is a plus.
· Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and contract oversight capabilities.
· Strong understanding of warehouse operations, transportation execution, order fulfillment, cost drivers, and scaling logistics operations to support growth.
· Strong Excel, analytical, communication, problem-solving, follow-through, and organizational skills; comfortable operating in a lean, continuous-improvement-focused environment.
The ideal candidate is a practical, hands-on logistics professional who brings structure, urgency, and accountability to a fast-moving environment. They can manage critical shipments, challenge 3PL partners, review freight invoices, build KPI reporting, and work cross-functionally to resolve service issues. They are highly organized, analytical, process-oriented, and comfortable using Excel and operational data to identify root causes, drive corrective actions, and improve performance. Most importantly, they care about doing things the right way. This is not a remote role, successful candidate must be located in the northern Colorado area and able to work on site 2-3 days per week.
