Job Description

Role description:

The Plant Manager is the leader of the local manufacturing site. This role is responsible for driving manufacturing excellence and a winning culture to deliver the financial goals of the site.

Responsibilities:

· Establish and maintain a safe and healthy work environment while complying with environmental regulations and food safety standards

· Ensure products are manufactured to Ardagh quality standards and within customer specification

· Build customer relationships through regular communication and delivered quality

· Lead departments to optimize performance in all aspects of the business

· Drive a continuous improvement culture and strive to improve the manufacturing process

· Lead people development, training, employee engagement, and advancement at all levels of the plant organization through servant leadership

· Partner and share best practices with business segment peers to drive overall company performance improvements

· Perform administrative responsibilities necessary to effectively manage the facility

· Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs

· Drive favorable P&L results through the items the plant controls (i.e. productivity, labor cost, spending)

· Comply with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies and programs within the departmental responsibilities

Minimum skills / qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field or significant industry experience

· Ten (10) years of manufacturing experience with a proven track record of successful team building

· Great communicator with effective organizational and planning skills

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

· Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred skills / qualifications:

· Master's in engineering, business administration, or a related field

· Glass container or other glass manufacturing experience

· Lean Six Sigma certification
