Estate Services is a specialized organization within the broader Schwab Operational Services Enterprise providing high-touch service to our clients and to the advisors that serve them. The Estate Relationship Specialist role is primarily focused on resolving Estate cases. This includes interpreting and processing legal documentation, mitigating financial and legal risk to the firm, reviewing and processing paperwork, and general inquiries from clients, attorneys, and internal business partners. Relationship Specialists will own cases from start to finish, calling out to clients to provide them with contact information and working with the client via phone or email until the inquiry is resolved. Processing work is primarily available via our internal imaging system. Communications with clients are done via inbound and outbound phone calls, email correspondence and unique correspondence via mail.

What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years operational experience in legal or financial services including brokerage, banking, legal/paralegal, or research.
• 1-2 years' experience working with Estates or Retirement Services topics.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Series 7 & 63 licenses beneficial, but not required.
• Preferred bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or related area (will consider relevant work experience)
• Desire to learn, apply and retain new information and skills with an emphasis on understanding state regulations and limits.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication both written and verbal
• Exhibit professionalism across all settings
• Diligence to the quality of one's work.
• Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, which often requires navigating multiple systems and tasks simultaneously.

What you are good at:

As a Schwab Estate Relationship Professional, you will be responsible for creating an outstanding, expert experience to clients to build and maintain client loyalty. Specifically, you will:

• Delivering unparalleled value and outstanding service to our clients to build and maintain client loyalty by answering questions and communicating requirements pertaining to Estates resolution.
• Connecting with clients and inheritors by recognizing the emotional needs during a challenging life event, while mitigating the risk to the firm by making informed decisions based on the interpretation of business rules along with state and federal regulations and statutes.
• Being astute to recognize and assess underlying client needs by utilizing our EDGE model.
• Demonstrating a strong passion for client service, exhibiting positive energy and problem-solving skills to connect with our clients through all channels of communications.
• Engaging with clients in a manner that inspires trust and the opportunity to build a deeper relationship, by being timely and efficient in resolving the needs of the client, which can help retain and expand their relationship with Schwab.
• Displaying ownership and empowerment to resolve client issues that relate to Trust, Estates, and other complex issues by effectively using decision making skills to enforce company policies in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures.
• Navigating a sometimes unknown or ambiguous client issue but working collaboratively with the client and internal partners to help resolve escalated issues and inquiries.
• Building collaborative relationships with team members to assist in attaining individual, team, and department objectives by participating in projects and initiatives of varying scope and duration as directed by the business.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
