Proposal Development Specialist Bachelor’s Degree or similar experience 1-2 years of Proposal or RFP experience Project Management experience A high-performing Proposal Specialist consistently delivers accurate, compliant work on time, takes ownership of their deliverables, and demonstrates continuous improvement through reduced rework and strong collaboration. Daily schedule & OT expectations: The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM CT. However, due to the time-sensitive nature of RFP work, there are periods—particularly during active production and submission phases—where additional hours may be needed to support deadlines. Typical task breakdown and rhythm: The day is a mix of structured production work, graphic editing, real-time collaboration, and quick-turn updates, with priorities shifting based on project deadlines and team needs. Typical tasks include: Creating and updating: Word templates Style guides Formatting standards Building and editing: Proposal documents (Word/PDF) Attachment templates Editing graphics to meet requirements Ensuring formatting consistency and compliance Must haves: 1-2 years of Proposal or RFP experience Nice to haves: Project Management experience Disqualifiers: No graphics experience No experience in working with word document quick styles and formatting. No experience in working with large # of documents. Performance indicators: A high-performing Proposal Specialist consistently delivers accurate, compliant work on time, takes ownership of their deliverables, and demonstrates continuous improvement through reduced rework and strong collaboration. Top 3 must-have hard skills Advanced Skill Level: Adobe Acrobat Pro Experience (3+ years) Advanced Skill Level: Word Document (formatting, quick styles, setting up templates) (3+ years) Medium Skill Level: Editing graphics within Illustrator Advanced Skill Level: Excel Software formatting large numbers of worksheets for printing (3+ years)

Responsibilities
Interaction level with team:
This person will interact daily and hourly with the team members via teams and email and should be able to receive constructive feedback on document adjustments.
Work environment description. Due to the short timelines provided by the state’s to respond to an RFP, our work can include quick turnaround. This person should be able to work independently and confidently as part of the project team. Our remains in constant communication throughout the day via teams and email. This person may work with writers to ensure that graphics are edited properly. They may screenshare during the editing process to collaborate with the team members.
Work environment description:
Typically, everyone works remotely from home across the country. However there may be a couple of times where we meet at the corporate office at Centene in St. Louis to finish print proposals. In this case, travel may be requested and will be paid for.
