Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the sterile processing team.
- Oversee instrument decontamination, sterilization, and distribution .
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines .
- Maintain and enforce quality assurance protocols .
- Train and evaluate Sterile Processing Technicians .
- Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance .
- Investigate and resolve sterilization failures or equipment malfunctions .
- Coordinate with surgical and nursing teams to ensure timely instrument availability.
- Maintain accurate sterilization records and department logs .
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Certification in Sterile Processing (CRCST, CSPDT, or CHL) required .
- Experience:
- 3+ years in sterile processing , with 1+ years in a leadership role .
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills .
- Knowledge of infection control, sterilization techniques, and SPD management .
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to relocate for temporary travel assignments .
