Job Description
PRODUCTION MANAGER – IKO
IKO is a global leader in manufacturing roofing products with production facilities worldwide, we are currently seeking a Production Manager to join our team of skilled professionals based at our Hillsboro, Texas plant. This plant produces premium roofing shingles in a high speed, continuous, asphalt shingle manufacturing process environment.
The successful candidate is an experienced, results-oriented, hands-on progressive leader, with the potential to advance within our organization who can drive synergy between technological advancements and workplace performance.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position will be responsible for coaching, educating and motivating production supervisors and coordinating manufacturing activities for our new production line. Key metrics are to achieve operational goals in the areas of safety, environmental, quality, cost and productivity.
Job Requirements:
Provide leadership and direction for production operations.
Bachelor of Engineering (preferably ME).
Minimum 5+ progressive years in operations as Manager or supervisor.
Proven track record of continuous improvement in production rates, levels of quality, and waste reduction.
Driving process consistency and standardization across all shifts.
Research and recommendation of new capital equipment purchases.
Highly developed leadership, change management, interpersonal, communication and people skills to drive plant performance.
Demonstrated ability to build team capability.
Proven track record of operational enhancement, capital projects and operational improvements.
Lean Manufacturing experience, a plus.
